Fabricated Steel Mill Tool for the Oilfield Industry

Taylor Oilfield MFG., Inc. Oilfield has provided high quality manufacturing from their Louisiana and Texas locations since their first facility opened in 1990. A perfect example of their custom fabrication abilities is shown by the manufacture of this steel mill tool for the oilfield industry. Consulting 2D CAD drawings to learn our customer's exact specifications, we saw cut, grinded, laser cladded, and CNC turned and milled AISI 4140 steel to create this tool, which was 85" long and had a diameter of Ø 12.188". After initial construction, this part was deburred, heat treated, and phosphate coated to a 32 RMS finish and to tolerances of ± 0.030". In keeping with our tradition of providing the highest quality manufactured parts, this tool went through dimensional inspection, visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, and hardness testing throughout the manufacturing process.
