CNC Machining of a Steel Housing Offset for the Oil & Gas Industry

At Taylor Oilfield MFG., Inc., we have over 20 years of experience in custom fabrication for oil field parts from both of our locations in Texas and Louisiana. When a customer in the Oil and Gas industry needed a 6.75" steel housing offset to be machined, our company was a natural fit. Working from 2D CAD drawings with our customer's specifications, we employed our CNC machining capabilities to turn, mill, and bore the steel housing offsets from AISI 4140 steel. When completed, these parts were 28.51 inches in length and had a diameter of Ø 6.87", with tightest tolerances of + 0.003" / - 0.000". Each housing offset was deburred, heat treated, part marked, and finished with phosphate coating. To maintain the highest quality, we performed hardness testing along with dimensional and visual inspection throughout the machining process.
We produced 24 of these housing offsets for our client in Houston, Texas. To learn more about this project or how Taylor Oilfield can work with your manufacturing needs in the Oil and Gas industry, please see the table below or contact us directly.
